on CD
PDF Remastered and Keyword Searchable
Welcome to the home WorldWar2Files.com
where you can find PDF files of division
reports, histories, monographs, campaign
books, research guides and more, all available
on CD or by digital download.
This grouping of information
is for the World War 2 Researcher or Family
Member and is designed to be suitable both
as a Research Tool.
The goal here is to publish
a CD on each of the US divisions who were
in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France,
Germany and the Netherlands, a CD on each
European campaign and major battle, and
then a CD on each of the Pacific Theater
divisions, campaigns and battles. If the
CD you are interested in isn't ready yet
send me an email to Hello@MtMestas.com .
I also sell these CDs internationally.

NOTICE TO BUYERS ABOUT ILLEGAL
USPS OVERCHARGES (rev. Feb.
2025)
Orders normally mailed USPS
within 2 days except weekends and holidays.
CD mailers subject to delay by the US Postal
Service. Delivery in the USA normally takes
5 to 10 days and may take up to 4 weeks
on occasion depending on slow downs, peak
periods or misdirected mail.
All cd orders are mailed
first class mail in sturdy cd mailers and
are in compliance with published USPS rates
as non-machineable letter sized mail dimensions.
Your CD should arrive in
perfect condition. Extra postage is paid
to not bend or machine sort the CDs. Light
scuffing doesn't affect CD use. It doesn't
happen very often but if you get one that
you aren't happy with let me know. Any problems
with the CD please send me an email.
At the time of this writing,
actual letter sized mail postage is $1.47
for a 1.6oz. 2cd order and $1.75 for a 2.4oz.
3 cd order. The postage due amount is derived
from the official USPS 123 price sheet and
by USPS online calculations. Both are the
same. The 6"x6", max. 1/4"
thickness size of the mailer meets the letter
size specifications and DOES NOT meet the
USPS published specifications for PARCEL
SIZED mail. As letter sized mail, a small
surcharge of $.46 is paid for the item being
non-machineable per published USPS prices.
About once or twice a year
some unscrupulous USPS employee will very
dishonestly misapply a much higher parcel
rate to these cd mailers by calling them
parcel mail because they are non-machineable.
Parcel mail rates are about 4 times higher
than letter mail. Parcel mail rates are
$5.85 for a 2 cd mailer. A cd mailer mailed
to Europe goes from $2.73 to $22.05 if charged
parcel rates.
This is a USPS rip-off and
it's not due. For this reason a special
warning sticker is applied to the front
reading "To USPS-This is a letter sized
mail piece with non-machineable surcharge
paid. Charging postage due for parcel rates
is subject to postal fraud charges."
When this over charging
occurs to an item mailed, the USPS will
either return it to me or deliver it with
some amount postage due. If this happens
to you, DO NOT PAY IT. Let me know immediately
and tell them to hold it and wait for a
phone call from a USPS business mail manager.
I'll have to make a few phone calls in the
USPS to get it released without postage
due.
You may pay it but if you
do I CANNOT REFUND OR REIMBURSE YOU the
postage overpaid nor refund you for your
purchase. You got ripped off by the USPS.
Instead, I can give you a USPS number to
complain to for a refund.
PRODUCT DISCLAIMER
- PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING
These are not DVDs. These
CDs contain PDF, HTM and TXT files that
you can view or read from your computer's
cd drive.
These World War II Research
CDs will get your started in your endeavor
to learn about World War II, however, files
like rosters, narratives and after action
reports, etc. of a World War II division
can be very scarce and rare for some divisions
in many cases, and so these CDs may not
include everything you might expect or want
to see on a research cd or may want to know
about a Division. Those files either did
not exist or were unavailable in the Public
Domain at the time this CD set was compiled.
Files copied from books
and the National Archives, etc., are "as
is" and may be incomplete or unreadable
in parts and generally, there are no better
source copies available.
The files are organized
for ease of use and mostly file named in
chronological order for quickly locating
a file. For example, a file name starting
with "4410-10" would be from 10
Oct 44. All of the files on the CDs are
listed on the CDs ClickMe.htm navigation
page shown below and the files are found
in their folders on the CDs. All of the
Pictures are embedded into the PDF files.
The IMAGES folders on the CDs contain the
few small JPG and GIF thumbnail images that
are part of the Navigation page and do not
enlarge and are not for viewing.
CD1 is more Division specific
and may contain historical narratives, daily
reports and rosters and monographs, etc.,
while CD 2 is usually more Campaign and
World War II general history focused and
may contain research guides and forms among
other things.
Please feel free to ask
any questions before ordering.
